The Intellectual Impairments section on the DiSA website caters for persons who have injuries, conditions or diseases that impairs  person's intelligence or the way they think, interact or act. Impairments covered under this section include but are not limited to: Down Syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia, Dementia, etc.

This section not only deals with the types of disabilities or impairments that can effect a person which may disadvantage them in society but also the Sports or Hobbies that are available in South Africa through various clubs and organizations, as well as the Service Providers, Organizations, Companies, Products, Educational and Health Care facilities and professionals that are available to assist them.
