Annelise and DiSA Partnership

Disability info South Africa (DiSA) was started in 2015 by Alan Downey and is now a non-profit company (NPO - 256-154) that provides a One-Stop solution that specializes in Access for persons with disabilities. This includes Easy Access to information and Access to the environment. Over the years, we have been able to create a link between persons with disabilities and the companies, clubs and organizations that are available to assist them. By creating a link with other reputable like minded companies clubs and organizations, we aim to create a better accessible future for all.Annelise NPO Fundraising

With this in mind, we approached Annelise de Jagger and the NPO Fundraising Forum after DiSA participated in the NPO Fundraising Forum in 2021 and received great value in what we had learnt. Believing that this knowledge could also benefit other organisations assisting persons with disabilities, we were excited to join forces with Annelise de Jagger and the NPO Fundraising Forum, so they may join us in this journey to "Light a way to an Inclusive Society!"

By promoting the services supplied by Annelise de Jagger and the NPO Fundraising Forum below and working with them through our AC-SA platform with other Access Warrior - Service Providers, we aim to ensure that all the pieces of the puzzle are in place to provide a complete Accessible Solution for the benefit of all.

NPO Fundraising Forum

You cannot BE charity to DO charity! - The NPO Fundraising Forum is for people working in the Non-Profit sector. This can include welfare organisations, schools and even churches. As a member of the NPO Fundraising Forum, you will receive practical training on how to successfully promote and raise funds for your organisation.

This will happen through a series of 25 online video training sessions over 12 months. I will empower you on a wide range of NPO-related topics, but our main focus is going to be Fundraising and Marketing.

You will learn how to open a charity shop, how to raise money online, write a proposal and how to promote your organisation by building relationships with your donors. You will learn how to do a radio interview, raise money via social media and a bunch of other topics.

This training course will take the FEAR out of fundraising! You can join as an individual or as an office, and you can choose to pay either monthly or annually.

The question is not “Can I afford it?”. The question is “can I afford to NOT join this Forum?”

What is your PLAN to get your non-profit organisation financially sustainable?  You need to have a plan. A big part of that plan MUST be to upskill yourself, and I would love to be part of your journey.

Grab this opportunity and register now - do not leave it for next week!

Charity Support Services - Online Training Academy

You will benefit from a lifetime of experience and knowledge:

  • Practical Approach: Every training session is designed with a practical approach. While I do believe in a solid foundation of theory, getting things done and how to practically implement it is the main focus of my training programs.
  • Personal Development: Personal development is an integral part of every training session that I do. I believe that to be successful, you need to work harder on yourself than on the things listed in your job description.
  • Results Guaranteed: My training programs are created with the development of non-profit organisations in mind, but any individual or business will benefit from it. If you implement what you learn here, success is guaranteed!

Current and Future Plans

NGO's and NPO's have historically provided much needed support for a number of causes in South Africa, including supporting persons with disabilities. Many organisations work for the empowerment of persons with disabilities through various initiatives focused on providing quality education, accommodation, nutritious food, vocational training and placement based rehabilitation, as well as fighting to improve accessibility, so that persons with disabilities can take part equally in society.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) "Disability is imposed by society when a person with a physical, psychosocial, intellectual, neurological and/or sensory impairment is denied access to full participation in all aspects of life, and when society fails to uphold the rights and specific needs of individuals with impairments."

Through our partnership with Annelise and the NPO Fundraising Forum, we aim to promote the work that Annelise is doing to assist organisations through the NPO Fundraising Forum and empower them to be the best that they can be.

In doing so, these organisations will be able to assist more persons with disabilities and create more opportunities for them to succeed, which ultimately changes peoples perceptions of persons with disabilities.

No company, organisation or person is an island, we all need to work together to promote real change for this to happen - This is our goal as Access Warriors!
